Instructions on the Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsbelehrung)

This is a courtesy translation. In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails. Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) in the case of distance contracts. The following sets out how long the period runs, how you meet it, what the consequences of a withdrawal are, and in which cases the right of withdrawal does not exist under the law or expires early. The provider and contracting party is KILUK Peptides, [ENTER BUSINESS ADDRESS], email kontakt@kiluk-peptides.com (hereinafter "KILUK Peptides").

1. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The right of withdrawal applies to consumers (Verbraucher) only. Under § 13 BGB, a consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession. Orders attributable to a research institution, a laboratory, a company or any other commercial or self-employed professional activity are not subject to a statutory right of withdrawal.

2. Start and running of the withdrawal period

The withdrawal period (Widerrufsfrist) is fourteen days. When it begins depends on how your order is delivered:

For the calculation of the period, the day on which possession is taken does not count; the period begins on the following day. If the end of the period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the period ends at the close of the next business day.

  • Single delivery of one item: the period begins on the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.
  • Several items from a single order delivered separately: the period begins on the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the last item.
  • Delivery of goods in several partial shipments or pieces: the period begins on the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the last partial shipment or the last piece.
  • Regular delivery over a defined period of time: the period begins on the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the first item.

3. Exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by means of a clear statement of your decision to withdraw from this contract. The statement is to be addressed to:

KILUK Peptides, [ENTER BUSINESS ADDRESS], email: kontakt@kiluk-peptides.com

No particular form is required for the statement. A letter, an email or any other clear communication is sufficient. Simply returning the goods without a recognisable statement, by contrast, is not sufficient. You may use the model withdrawal form (Muster-Widerrufsformular) set out below, but you are not obliged to do so.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. The time of receipt is not relevant for this purpose. We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal without undue delay in text form (Textform).

Where possible, please state your order number and the items concerned in your statement. This is not a condition of validity, but it makes it easier for us to allocate your withdrawal.

4. Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery, without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal from this contract. This does not include supplementary costs arising from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us.

For this reimbursement we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no event will you be charged any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

Since orders with us are paid in advance (Vorkasse) by SEPA bank transfer, we will refund the amount to the account from which the payment was received. If a transfer back to that account is not possible, please let us know the account holder and IBAN so that the refund can be carried out.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

5. Return and return costs

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

Return address: KILUK Peptides, [ENTER BUSINESS ADDRESS].

You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. We ask that you send the return with sufficient postage and insurance and keep the shipping receipt; we are unable to accept unpaid shipments. This request concerns the practical handling only and is not a condition for the validity of your withdrawal.

Please return the goods in their unopened original packaging, with the seal intact and adequately protected for transport. This is relevant to the compensation for loss of value (Wertersatz) under section 6 and to safe handling in transit.

6. Compensation for loss of value (Wertersatz)

You will only have to pay for any diminished value of the goods where that loss of value results from handling the goods in a way that is not necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Such examination covers what you could also do in a shop: opening the outer packaging, looking at the goods and the accompanying documents, and checking the labelling, batch number and quantity. If, beyond that, the seal of a container is removed, the container is opened or the contents are taken out, this goes beyond the permitted examination. In such cases the exclusion under § 312g (2) no. 3 BGB referred to in section 7 may apply at the same time, so that withdrawal is no longer possible.

7. Exclusion and early expiry of the right of withdrawal

Under § 312g (2) BGB, the right of withdrawal does not exist in certain cases or expires early. The following cases are the most relevant ones for our range:

Whether one of these grounds applies is determined by the objective condition of the goods at the time of return. We therefore point out any relevant grounds for exclusion on the respective product page and during the ordering process.

— End of the withdrawal instructions —

  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery (§ 312g (2) no. 3 BGB). This applies in particular to sealed vials and comparable primary containers: once the seal has been removed, the integrity of the contents can no longer be verified, and from that point on the right of withdrawal no longer exists.
  • Goods that are not prefabricated and that are made on the basis of an individual choice or decision by you, or that are clearly tailored to your personal requirements (§ 312g (2) no. 1 BGB), for example customer-specific fills, packaging configurations or quantities outside the standard range.
  • Goods which, after delivery and according to their nature, have been inseparably mixed with other items (§ 312g (2) no. 4 BGB), for example after decanting or combining them with other substances.
  • In addition, there is no right of withdrawal in contracts with customers who are not consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB (see section 1). This case follows from the definition of consumer and not from § 312g BGB.

8. Model withdrawal form (Muster-Widerrufsformular)

If you wish to withdraw from the contract, you can fill in this form and send it back to us. Its use is voluntary; any other clear statement is equally effective.

9. Note on the nature of the products

All products offered by KILUK Peptides are research chemicals for laboratory and research purposes only. They are not intended for human or animal consumption, are not approved for use in humans or animals, and are not medicinal products, foods, food supplements or cosmetics. We do not give any recommendations for use. Sold exclusively to persons aged 18 or over for use in laboratory, educational and research settings.

This note describes the nature of the goods and does not restrict your statutory right of withdrawal. It explains why the exclusion under § 312g (2) no. 3 BGB referred to in section 7 regularly applies to sealed vials as soon as the seal has been removed.

Version dated 4 September 2026. This version applies to orders placed on or after that date. Questions about withdrawal can be sent to kontakt@kiluk-peptides.com.
